Prestige Pools of NC

Replacing a worn liner often starts with mapping the exact interior shape, checking for panel movement, and confirming that the subfloor is smooth before measurements are taken. Planning for inground pool installation in Garner, NC frequently includes these same steps, so discussing them helps set realistic timelines for staging, deliveries, and weather windows. During a liner change, crews look at fittings, main drains, and lights to make sure gaskets and faceplates seal properly once the new material is in place. Decisions tied to custom vinyl pool design in Johnston County, NC can also guide replacement choices, such as whether to keep benches, tanning ledges, or step styles that affect seam layout. Residents of Clayton, NC often ask about care after the swap; gentle brushing, balanced water, and monitoring water level during the first week help the liner seat correctly. Prestige Pools of NC schedules work to minimize yard disruption, and explains what to expect from pump-down through refill and start‑up.

Vinyl liner pools are the whole business here, and the narrowing was deliberate. Keith Cowell’s father spent more than 30 years building pools of every type, vinyl, concrete and fiberglass, and the family eventually concentrated on vinyl liner work because it offers the widest range of custom shapes at the lowest cost. Keith and Sheila Cowell own the company today as its second generation, and much of the crew has worked together since 2008.

Two service lines run side by side: new vinyl liner pool installation and liner replacement on existing pools. Shape options are grouped as rectangle, free-form and true-L, and design consulting covers decking materials alongside the pool itself.

A new build takes roughly four to five weeks from the first day of excavation to the day the liner goes in and water is delivered. Permitting and final inspections sit outside that window. The start week covers digging, wall construction, plumbing and backfill behind the walls. The custom liner is ordered after that and the first electrical inspections are scheduled; when the liner arrives, the crew shapes and trowels a vermiculite bottom before installing it and calling for water.

Prestige Pools submits the pool permit application and works with the town, county or municipality through inspections. HOA applications usually have to be signed and submitted by the homeowner, though the office will help assemble the paperwork. Septic constraints come up constantly in Johnston County: the water’s edge must sit at least 15 feet from the septic system and its components, and the concrete decking edge at least three feet.
