Mossy Stone Landscaping

Reliable upkeep depends on a clear plan for mowing, edges, and seasonal tasks. Regular lawn maintenance includes setting proper mowing heights for local grasses, checking irrigation coverage, and clearing debris that can smother turf. Warm summers often call for deeper but less frequent watering, while fall is a good time to address compaction and rebalance nutrients. Landscaping choices, such as bed placement and tree canopy spread, play a role because shade and root competition influence grass vigor and watering needs. In Lexington, SC, many yards mix sun-loving turf with areas that benefit from groundcovers or mulch to reduce runoff and wear. Mossy Stone Landscaping structures service routes and timing so weekly and seasonal work align with growth patterns and weather. For nearby Cayce, similar care principles apply, with attention to drainage and foot traffic near driveways and sidewalks. Clear communication about goals helps keep turf healthy, walkways tidy, and plantings in step with the calendar.

Credentials are the distinguishing part of this operation. The Mossy Stone team includes certified arborists and staff holding degrees in horticulture, and the company is licensed for pesticide application, which is what lets it run lawn treatments alongside the mowing and bed work rather than referring that out. Tree trimming sits in-house for the same reason.

The service list runs wider than lawn care: landscape design, landscaping installation, hardscaping, lawn maintenance, commercial lawn care, irrigation services, retention ponds, tree trimming, lawn treatments and yard drainage. Retention ponds and drainage are worth noting separately, since those are usually handed to a civil contractor rather than handled by the same crew that maintains the property afterwards.

Published service pages cover Lexington, Irmo, Chapin, Red Bank, Oak Grove, Pelion, Swansea, Aiken, Seven Oaks and Columbia. The office runs Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed at weekends. Estimates are free; the number is 803-528-8904.

On approach, the company cites more than 30 years of experience and an owner who stays directly involved in each job. The design emphasis is on introducing diverse looks and a wide array of plants rather than repeating one template across properties, with plant biology, soil science and sustainable horticultural practice informing the selections. Work splits across residential and commercial properties, and the site keeps a gallery if you want to see completed installations before booking a consultation.
