Front Porch Design Group

Front Porch Design Group is a San Antonio interior design studio working mainly in hospitality and residential interiors. It’s a small practice, and its portfolio leans toward projects where the interior treatment carries the identity of the building: hotels, restaurants, amenity spaces and corporate offices. The studio is working on the Tower Life Residences conversion, the transformation of San Antonio’s 1929 Tower Life Building into roughly 244 apartments, with the penthouse units listed separately in its portfolio alongside the McCombs Enterprises headquarters. Interior scope on a federal historic tax credit project carries its own constraints, since the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards reach interior features as well as exteriors.

The portfolio divides three ways, food and beverage, multifamily and office, and the F&B section is by far the longest. It carries River North Icehouse, Camp Outpost, Box Street All Day, Porta Rossa, Taurinos, Chika, Lunatique, Creme, Amelia, Dillo, Easy Baby, Pumpers, Tribute, 1902, The 68′, The Dispatch and Costa Pacifica, a range that runs from icehouses and taquerias at one end to cocktail bars, omakase speakeasies and nightclubs at the other.

Beyond restaurants, the multifamily and office categories hold Rivercamp Apartments at 410 Probandt, The Creamery, the J9 headquarters on North St. Mary’s, and a Trump Tower condominium in New York catalogued as 39G, the only entry outside Texas.

Luis Miguel Martinez founded the studio and runs it as principal; Analorena Falcon is design director. The stated clients are developers, operators, tenants and food-and-beverage teams, and the studio says it stays on a project from first sketch through final walk-through rather than handing off after the design phase. It also treats budget as a design input from the outset, a workable position in restaurant and bar work, where fit-out money is fixed and the opening date drives the schedule.

Registered in Texas as front porch design group, LLC, the built work concentrates in San Antonio: Tower Life and its penthouses downtown, the River North icehouse, the Probandt Street apartments south of the center, and the McCombs headquarters. The site presents the work as a lookbook rather than a case-study index, which fits a practice selling atmosphere and finish rather than square footage.
