Brinkmann Constructors

Brinkmann Constructors is an employee-owned general contractor headquartered in Chesterfield, Missouri, with regional offices serving Colorado, Kansas, Texas, Arizona and Utah. The firm works across multifamily, industrial and distribution, senior living, retail and self-storage, and it self-performs concrete on much of its own work, which is unusual at its size and gives it more control over the critical path on podium and tilt-up projects. Brinkmann is the general contractor on AVE Station House at 4001 Walnut Street in Denver’s River North Arts District, a 13-storey, 301-unit apartment building that broke ground in April 2026 on the long-vacant RiNo Triangle site with $125 million in construction financing behind it.

Bob Brinkmann started the company in 1984 on a straightforward premise: find better and cheaper ways to build. Ownership moved to the wider leadership group through an ESOP completed in 2013, and the firm is now fully employee-owned.

Six offices carry the work, and the current list is worth having accurately: Chesterfield, Missouri near St. Louis; Aurora, Colorado for Denver; Overland Park, Kansas for Kansas City; Glen Allen, Virginia for Richmond; Scottsdale, Arizona for Phoenix; and Sarasota, Florida. The company markets itself as a national general contractor rather than a regional one, under the tagline Insight Beyond Measure, and cites more than 1,500 completed projects and over $11 billion in construction value.

Sector coverage runs wider than the multifamily and industrial work the firm is best known for. Brinkmann builds senior living, student housing, warehouse, manufacturing, food and beverage, healthcare, office and education facilities, and it operates a dedicated mission critical group covering data centers and site development.

Named projects on the site give a sense of the mix: Ascent Commerce Center on the warehouse side, Wind Crest Senior Living, LOCAL Midtown in student housing, and a manufacturing facility for Karcher North America. Client testimonials come from Anthology Senior Living, SurgCenter Development, First Bank, Mills Automotive Group and NorthPoint Development, which is a repeat-developer roster rather than a public-bid one.

Preconstruction and early collaboration are listed as a service in their own right, consistent with a contractor that self-performs concrete and wants influence over the schedule before design closes.
