Winter started the company as a one-man crew in 2014. Twelve years later WinterGreen Synthetic Grass runs a full installation team out of 1507 E 1st St in Fort Worth, and still describes itself as family-owned: Winter and Ashley worked together in the service industry before launching the business.

It is not a franchise, and the company treats that as a practical advantage rather than a slogan. With no corporate product list to work from, crews spec turf per project instead of fitting every job to whatever one roll is on the truck.

That distinction shows up in their own advice about grass selection. Low-traffic areas can take a softer, lower-density product picked mainly for how it looks. High-traffic zones need denser, more durable turf, and putting the wrong grade in a play area is where installations go wrong.

A residential job typically runs one to three days depending on yard size, access and drainage. The sequence is straightforward: remove the existing aggregate, build the base system, lay the grass, add infill, brush it up.

Terms are published rather than quoted case by case. Installation carries a one-year warranty detailed in the installation agreement, and the grass carries a 15-year manufacturer warranty. Payment is by cash, check, bank transfer or major credit card, usually a deposit to hold the booking with the balance due at completion, and financing is available through Wells Fargo.

Upkeep is light but not nothing. A leaf blower handles debris, a hose or an existing sprinkler system rinses the rest, and periodic professional grooming is recommended at a frequency set by how hard the surface gets used. Pet owners pick up solids and rinse the residue. The maintenance side of the business also sells debris removal, drainage solutions, infill addition and odor treatment as standalone visits.

Commercial scope reaches well past lawns: bocce, tennis and pickleball courts, multi-sport fields, mini golf and par-3 courses, golf simulators, rooftop landscapes and high-rise putting greens, dog parks, ISD projects, retirement communities, restaurant patios and storefronts.
