QTS is a data center developer and operator based in Overland Park, Kansas, and one of the largest builders of hyperscale capacity in North America. The company designs, builds, and runs large campuses for cloud and enterprise customers, a business that has made it a major driver of construction demand across several states. In July 2026 QTS committed $5 million to skilled-trades workforce programs in eastern Iowa, funding community-college, pre-apprenticeship, and union training to ease the electrician and pipefitter shortage its own projects help create. QTS is owned by funds managed by Blackstone and continues to expand its build pipeline nationwide.

QTS Data Centers is a digital-infrastructure provider that delivers colocation and hyperscale capacity to enterprise, government and technology customers. Its colocation model lets multiple organizations house equipment in shared, secured space, and a carrier-neutral approach means clients can connect through a range of network providers rather than a single carrier.

The scale is large. QTS operates on the order of two dozen data centers totaling more than seven million square feet and over 900 megawatts of gross available utility power, spread across North America and Europe. The company has leaned into AI-ready infrastructure, earning certification for the NVIDIA DGX colocation program and integrating that compute into its Service Delivery Platform, which lets customers view and manage their environments remotely.

QTS keeps corporate roots in Overland Park, Kansas, where the company began, and it operates as a privately held business under funds managed by Blackstone.
