The Related Group

The Related Group is Miami’s largest condominium developer and one of the most active builders in the Southeast, founded by Jorge Perez in 1979. The firm develops and builds market-rate, luxury, and affordable housing, with a portfolio concentrated in Florida’s urban cores. Related broke ground in 2026 on Southbank Residences, a roughly $150 million, 395-unit rental development on Jacksonville’s St. Johns River waterfront. The company is known for pairing residential density with public art and waterfront access, an approach it has used to reshape neighborhoods across South Florida. It develops, and often builds, at a scale few private residential firms match.

Beyond its Miami condominium work, Related Group reports having built and managed more than 100,000 condominium and apartment residences, developed over 17 million square feet, and sold over $50 billion in real estate. The company is headquartered in Coconut Grove at 2850 Tigertail Avenue, in an award-winning office completed in 2021.

Its work is organized across several in-house divisions: Fortune Construction Company handles construction management; TRG Management oversees property management; and Related Realty, together with RelatedISG International Realty, leads sales and marketing. Related Urban Development Group runs the affordable and workforce housing practice.

The multifamily rental arm, Related Development, operates regional offices in Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas and Phoenix. Leadership includes founder and chairman Jorge M. Perez, president and CEO Jon Paul Perez, and condominium division president Nicholas Perez.
