Jacobs

Jacobs is a Dallas-based engineering, design and delivery firm and one of the largest professional services organizations serving the built environment. Founded in 1947 by Joseph J. Jacobs as a chemical engineering consultancy, the company now works across water and wastewater, transportation, life sciences, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing, defense, and environmental remediation, with tens of thousands of employees worldwide. Its life sciences practice is delivering the $1.2 billion expansion of the FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies large-scale cell culture campus in Holly Springs, North Carolina, which adds eight 20,000-liter bioreactors and 425,500 square feet. Jacobs also holds an architecture and engineering services contract with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Washington covering Navy and Marine Corps installations across Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia.
