Okland Construction is a family-owned general contractor founded in 1918 by Norwegian shipbuilder John Okland and now run by the fourth generation of the family. Based in Salt Lake City, with offices in Tempe and Boise, the firm builds across the Mountain West and Southwest, taking on healthcare, higher education, sports, and commercial work. Okland is general contractor on the University of Utah’s $885 million Eccles Health Campus in West Valley City, one of the state’s largest current healthcare projects. The company has delivered hundreds of buildings across North America and stays privately held, leaning on a reputation for craftsmanship built over more than a century.
