Genson Overhead Door

Family owned and operated since 1979, Genson Overhead Door strives to provide our customers with quality products at fair prices and unequaled service. We provide sales, service and installation for all types of residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial-type garage doors and related products.

Genson Overhead Door Inc. has been in the door business since 1979 — the company marks it as 45 years serving Central New York — and describes itself as local, family-owned and multi-generational.

The physical footprint is unusual for a door dealer this far from a major metro. There are two full showrooms: the Locke showroom at 11710 NY-90 (315-497-0912) and a Syracuse location at 100 Osceola Rd. (315-474-2006). Two further sales offices cover Ithaca (607-272-2494) and Cortland (607-753-3380). Between them the company covers Central New York, the Southern Tier and the Finger Lakes region. A separate 24/7 line, 315-288-3060, handles quotes, repairs and emergencies.

Residential work runs to sectional overhead doors, electric openers and high-performance doors, plus repair and emergency repair. The commercial catalogue is the broader half of the business: overhead doors, door operators, security grilles and shutters, loading dock equipment, and gates. That combination — dock levellers and grilles alongside homeowner openers — is what lets a single dealer serve both a farm shop and a distribution building in the same week.

On the buying side, estimates are free and the site carries an online cost calculator so a customer can get a range before a technician visits. Financing is available. The company commits to answering inquiries within 24 hours, and describes a service visit as an assessment first, then options and transparent pricing, then installation followed by a function test and cleanup before the crew leaves.

The site also displays an IDA 2026 Top 100 Door Dealers badge from the International Door Association.

Buyers should note there are two numbers in play: 315-288-3060 is the round-the-clock support line, while 315-497-0912 reaches the Locke showroom directly.
