Alaska's Complete Drywall And Painting Services

Image Drywall & Paint is a leading Alaska drywall contractor. Our workmanship is top quality and our process is fast, clean, and efficient. The following stages are typical for a normal sheetrock installation project. Our Alaska drywall contractor service has done work for quality builders, homeowners, and commercial drywall jobs throughout the Mat-Su Valley including Wasilla, Palmer as well as Eagle River and Anchorage. Our drywall crews also travel statewide when needed.

Material Delivery and Stocking
Image Drywall & Paint handles every detail of the sheetrock contracting phase. This includes ordering the right amount of sheetrock and then picking it up and delivering it on-site. We then hand carry each sheet and distribute it throughout the building.

Sheetrock Installation and Hanging
Our sheet rock hanging crews are among the best in Alaska. They work fast, efficiently, and take pride in quality workmanship.

Scrap and Paper Floors
Our crews take great care in keeping your job site clean. As a normal practice we cover all floor areas with paper and masking to ensure easy clean up. When the job is finished our crews completely broom clean the floors and haul off material scraps.

Taping
Once the drywall hangers are finished our tapers start right in on the job. The taping phase goes quickly and smoothly because we use crews that have worked together for over 10 years.

Primer
The next step is to apply primer to seal the drywall and make it ready for texture and paint.

Texture
Once the primer is dry it is time for the texture to be applied. Image Drywall & Paint contractors are among the most skilled Alaska drywall texture specialists. We can apply texture in all of the standard patterns of application as well as customized texture patterns that make your home truly one of a kind. Review the pictures below to get an idea of some of the texture patterns we commonly apply. If you don’t see something you like just ask us and we can customize a pattern just for you.

Joe and Ray Martorell started Image Drywall & Paint straight out of Wasilla High School, where they had already been working alongside their father — a drywaller and painter who taught them to get quality right first and let speed follow. State records date the corporation to October 2001.

Second generation turned into a family payroll. All six brothers have worked directly for Image at some point over the past two decades, their mother ran the office in the early years, their father still consults on jobs, and the founders’ children now clean the shop every week. Today the company runs three office staff, four superintendents and three estimators alongside its hanging, taping and paint crews.

The footprint is wider than a single Wasilla address suggests. Crews work out of both Wasilla and Anchorage, travel statewide when a project requires it, and a second branch in Sparks, Nevada covers the greater Reno market.

Commercial work is a large share of the book: large apartment complexes, hotels, office and retail buildings, and tenant improvements across the public and private sectors. On those projects the team handles pre-bid consultation, estimating and value engineering at the front end, then submittals and close-out at the back. Field scope includes metal stud framing (Reno branch only), sound batt insulation, acoustical sealant, fire caulk, Green Glue, furring, hat and resilient channel, soffit framing, and Level 4 and Level 5 finishes.

Repainting existing homes is its own line of work. Image points out that painted surfaces account for roughly 70 to 80 percent of a typical home or office, and has built a fixed prep-and-repaint sequence around that, with an emphasis on paints that hold up over time.

Estimates are free and start through a request form on the site, which also carries an employment page for crew hiring.
