Boreal Electric

“Boreal Electric Ltd, located in Edmonton, Alberta, is your premier electrical contractor serving Edmonton and its surrounding & outlying areas. Committed to customer care and satisfaction, we take pride in offering reliable solutions to all your electrical needs.

One item in Boreal’s service list does more to locate the business than anything else on the site: aluminum to copper wiring upgrades. Aluminum branch circuits went into a great many Edmonton houses in the late 1960s and 1970s, and they are still a live insurance and safety issue today. A contractor who names that work specifically is signalling which housing stock it works in, and that it is prepared to deal with the pigtailing and connection problems that come with it.

The rest of the residential range is conventional and covers what an older house tends to need at the point of sale or renovation: panel upgrades, electrical inspections, interior and exterior lighting, ceiling fans, hot tub and spa wiring, and EV charger installation. New home and custom build wiring sits alongside that, as does commercial work.

The five year workmanship warranty is longer than most local electrical contractors publish, and the company pairs it with a statement that it uses name brand products rather than whatever is cheapest at the counter.

Coverage extends past the city into Central and Northern Alberta, and the home page carries a twenty-plus years of experience marker, though no founding year is given anywhere on the site.

A practical note on reaching them. The contact page lists emergency service as available 24 hours, seven days a week, but the regular hours shown run Monday to Wednesday and Saturday to Sunday, with no Thursday or Friday listed. That is almost certainly an oversight on the page rather than the real schedule, but it is worth a phone call rather than an assumption if the work is not urgent.
