Compact Home Lifts

Compact Home Lifts are an Australian home elevators specialist and we offer a range of domestic lifts that are unlike any other in the world. Our luxurious Compact home elevators have been designed to specifically fit in any home in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane as well as Tasmania and across the country.

A home lift by Compact Home Lifts can help make life easier when the stairs become more challenging and it is an ideal alternative to a stairlift. Our home elevators provide a more convenient – and faster – way of getting upstairs which can improve your lifestyle. Residential lifts are also great for carrying heavy objects.

Buying an elevator from Compact Home Lifts is more cost-effective compared to moving house so you can stay in the home you love and add value to your property. Our residential lifts are the most compact, affordable and stylish home elevators available in Australia so contact our Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane or Tasmania home lift offices today for more information.

A Compact home lift plugs into an ordinary power point and draws about six amps on the way up, roughly half the load of boiling an electric kettle, because the trip down runs on gravity and braking rather than a motor. That electric drive is also why these lifts skip the hydraulics and vacuum systems that make many residential elevators loud.

Two models are offered. The Elegance carries up to two passengers and moves between floors in under 30 seconds. The Elegance Plus is wider, sized to take a standard wheelchair or walking frame. Both sit on a dual-rail structure that is self-supporting, with the load running in compression through the rails into the floor, so no lift shaft and no load-bearing walls are required. The smallest footprint option is under 0.8 square metres, which is why the lifts fit into spaces as tight as some closets. Building work is usually limited to cutting and trimming a ceiling aperture, about a day for a builder. Compact runs its own in-house building service and can also point customers to registered builders. Installation itself is typically finished in under two working days by authorised dealers and contractors.

Safety hardware is layered. Top and bottom safety pans stop the car before it contacts anything in its path. Half-door models add a full-height light curtain at the entrance. Controls are hold-to-run, so the passenger stays in contact with the lift while it moves. Weight-limit and out-of-balance sensors block travel, an over speed governor trips above 0.15 m/s, and a patented fall arrest mechanism engages if either of the two steel cables goes slack.

Compact Lifts Pty Ltd reports more than 2,500 lifts installed, backs the product with a seven-year warranty, and is a member of the Australian Elevator Association. Showrooms in Melbourne and Sydney let buyers hear one run before committing, and a dedicated NDIS page covers scheme-funded enquiries.
