Phoenix Metals was founded in 1980 with no money and a will to out-work all competition. Our main goal was to bring honesty, integrity, and ethics to all parts of our business; keeping in mind that our employees, customers, and vendors were always to be treated as we wanted to be treated. In 1980 we had only one thing and that was a will to work and work hard. Over the years we were very fortunate to have many outstanding people believe in us and the growth continued year after year. In 1998 we made a decision to join forces with Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. and the growth continued at an even faster pace. From our humble beginnings we now are a leading metals service center in North America. All the thanks go to our employees, customers, and vendors.
At Phoenix Metals we are committed to offering our customers unsurpassed quality and service for each and every order. We provide metal products cut and delivered to your front door.

Beyond its Peachtree Corners headquarters, Phoenix Metals operates a network of 21 metal distribution locations across the country, from Arlington and Houston in Texas to Milwaukee, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Tampa, plus an affiliate Reliance branch in Los Angeles.
Each branch draws on a shared processing lineup: 17 cut-to-length lines for sheet and plate, two slitters, two sheet polishing lines, four flat lasers, one router, one plasma unit and 20 shears. On the cut-to-length side, the shearing equipment handles material up to 72 inches wide, from 26-gauge sheet to 3/8-inch plate, in lengths exceeding 400 inches. Laser cutting, available in both 2D and 3D formats, sits alongside that equipment list as a more recently added capability.
Product lines cover aluminium, stainless steel and carbon steel in sheet, plate and coil form, along with specialty items such as copper, brass and bronze for orders that are harder to source elsewhere.
Delivery runs on a shuttle system the company says moves inventory between locations with no cutoff times and no minimum order sizes, supported by a fleet it describes as exceeding 200 trucks. Order processing continues into the evening rather than stopping at the end of a standard workday, with next-day delivery as the stated target across its marketing areas.
Safety training is tied to standards set by parent company Reliance, which Phoenix Metals says exceed OSHA requirements, backed by a digitized recordkeeping system for training records and a defined onboarding program for new employees.
Customers request material through an online quote form specifying grade, width, weight and length, or set up a standing account through the company’s credit application process.
